I love Adele!

On this day in music!

On this day in 2011, Adele went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Rolling In The Deep’, taken from her second studio album, “21”. The video to the song was nominated for seven MTV Video Music Awards nominations, ‘Rolling in the Deep’ was also the Billboard Year End Hot 100 Number One Single of 2011. And on 12 February 2012, ‘Rolling in the Deep’ received three Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Short Form Music Video.

Ryan Tedder will return to the studio with Adele!

OneRepublic rocked the 2014 Billboard Awards last night with Top 5 hit ‘Counting Stars’ and before their fab performance, the group chatted with Billboard‘s Keith Caulfield about their hit and new edition of  2013 album “Native.”

Frontman Ryan Tedder let it be known that he’ll be rejoining Adele in the studio soon to work on her long-awaited follow-up to “21.” Check out what he has to say in the video below!

“I know I’m going back in with her,” said Tedder, “and so, if there’s any kind of time crunch, I’ll definitely have to bring my A game. I know that much.”

Earlier this month,  Adele hinted in her tweet a possible album release this year with the title “25.” Tedder previously co-wrote and produced ‘Turning Tables’ and ‘Rumour Has It’ from “21.”

Ryan Tedder reveals emotional ride with Adele's 'Turning Tables'!

One Republic‘s Ryan Tedder has spoken in the new issue of Notion Magazine about the emotional experience of helping Adele write the third track on her record-breaking “21” album.

Chatting with Notion magazine, the singer-songwriter said, “It’s easy to look back at your most successful singles and call them your favourites, but I knew there was something special when we came up with ‘Turning Tables'”.

After they worked on the song Tedder went back to his hotel room in London and texted Adele saying, “I’m listening to your demo and I’m getting choked up”.  She said, ‘I’ve been crying my eyes out for the last 20 minutes.'”

Even though the song only peaked at number 62 in the UK and 63 in the U.S., Ryan is still very proud to have worked on the song.

“We both thought we’d nailed it,” he admitted to Notion Magazine. “It doesn’t matter that it wasn’t a radio hit. In a perfect world, the two would coincide. Most artists would be lying if they didn’t say that was the goal.”

The track remains his favorite production to date.
