Aretha Franklin wows on Letterman, gets standing ovation!

Wearing a lime green gown and bringing her signature vocals, Aretha wowed the audience last night at the Ed Sullivan Theater with her rendition of Adele‘s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and received a standing ovation.

And after, the Queen of Soul still had breath to stop and chat with Dave! The 72 year old r & b songstress shows no sign of slowing down as her latest cd “Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics” is slated for release October 21, 2014 with a subsequent tour and she is even doing a biopic!

For the show last night she brought in historic back-up singers, including Cissy Houston, mother of the late Whitney Houston. In addition, she called in her famous conductor H.B. Barnum and several famed musicians.

Aretha to perform this evening on Letterman!

Just a reminder that tonight the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will perform Adele‘s “Rolling In The Deep” live on Letterman! Check her out in the video below!

Franklin’s new cd “Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics” will include songs such as Gladys Knight‘s ‘Midnight Train to Georgia,’ Barbra Streisand‘s ‘People” and the late Whitney Houston‘s ‘I’m Every Woman’.

Aretha’s new cd is slated for release October 21, 2014, so be ready to grab yours! 🙂

Adele pays a visit to RAK Studios!

Based in North London, RAK Studios confirms that Adele and legendary songwriter Diane Warren indeed wrote songs there. RAK Studios is where Adele recorded most of 19, her debut album.

Diane Warren has also written songs for Taylor Dayne, Paloma Faith and the late Whitney Houston, just to name a few.

Will Adele’s latest project be called 24 or 25? Only she knows! Whatever the title, her fans are looking forward to new music ! 🙂
